These are concepts for IT driven, light industrial projects focused on renewable energy. The emphasis on desertous landscapes exploits the potential for both solar and wind energy. The projects are intended to both meld and contrast with the harsh and stark landscapes they occupy.

New Millenium Circus

This imagined project is a reinterpretation of public spaces found in many cultures that encourage and celebrate play, discovery, engagement, wonder, and surprise. Precedents are: the Greek hippodrome, the Roman circus, the urban place/piazza/square, the public green, a world’s fair, etc.

In this reimagination, the structures become anthropomorphic “characters” in their interplay with the real characters, who come from the Commedia dell’Arte: Arlecchino, Colombina, Pierrot, Mezzetin, etc.  Historically, these actors led itinerant lifestyles and performed improvisationally, allowing them a freedom of expression within any environment. Here, this circus becomes their playground, stage, and a place of discovery.
